The 58th Annual Labor Day Ox Roast Festival
The Ox Roast
Festival is held annually in West Jefferson over Labor Day weekend. Home to
the famous “Ox” sandwiches, the festival is the only one that cooks over
5,500 lbs. of beef underground. The festival offers food, rides, games, and
arts & crafts.
There are many other events which include a grand
parade, kiddie pedal pull, queens' contests, baby contest, bike tour,
Madison Co. Idol contest, live entertainment and much, much more.
This year brings the return of past festival
favorites, Chuck-o-luck and Big Six. For a complete list of this
